Kaiser Friedrich Park
The Kaiser-Friedrich-Park is located in the best residential area of Aachen, the southern district.
The remains of a former customs house can still be admired at the main entrance to Kaiser Friedrich Park, which has two large bluestone pillars. The focal point of the beautiful park is the pond, which is commonly known as the “Hangweiher”. Not only can you have a quiet picnic by the pond, you can also paddle across the pond in a pedal boat or jog around the pond. Since 1923, the end of Kaiser Friedrich Park has been decorated with Carl Burger's Triton Fountain, affectionately referred to as "Aquarius" by the people of Aachen.
