Former Nikolaushospital

The Nikolaushospital (St. Nicholas hospital) in Kornelimünster used to be a hospital for pilgrims.


At the start of the 15th century, this building housed the Nikolaushospital.  With its small chapel, it was a destination for pilgrims on their long journey to the reliquaries in Aachen and Kornelimünster. In the Middle Ages, hospitals were obligatory for pilgrimage destinations such as Kornelimünster.
