It’s worth taking a looking inside the Theresienkirche (Church of St. Theresa)...
... in the popular students’ quarter. The former Catholic church dedicated to Saint Theresa of Avila was built in the 18th century by Laurenz Mefferdatis. However, its real pomp is revealed inside. Built entirely in the rococo style, the church was designed by Johann Joseph Couven. After it was almost entirely destroyed in the Second World War, it was rebuilt in its 18th century form, and its interior was reconstructed during the 1970s. Today, the “Holy Trinity” Romanian Orthodox community celebrates its Sunday services in the Theresienkirche church.
