The Aachen student quarter
With the Ponttor gate behind you as a starting point, the Pontstraße road takes you through to Aachen’s market square. Walking over Aachen's cobblestones, you’ll pass a large number of bars, restaurants and cafés. While the first part of the Pontstraße is still regarded as a meeting place for younger people and the young at heart, the upper section also offers restaurants and bars for those who prefer a somewhat quieter atmosphere.
