Terrestrial perspectives

An exhibition on land art, land use and ecology in the Ludwig Forum
Terrestrial Perspectives exhibition brings together works that open up diverse perspectives on the complex interaction between people and their environment. On view is a concentrated selection of around thirty photographs, graphics, paintings, sculptures and video works, as well as some performative formats. Based on the collections and the exhibition history of the house, artistic working methods from land art of the late 1960s to the recent present are presented, which share an interest in dealing with the earth's surface: from creative and conceptual treatments to critical perspectives on local and global structures of land use, resource appropriation and exploitation and the resulting consequences of dramatically changing natural areas.
