Description

The Couven Museum features the development of the bourgeois culture of living in the 18th and 19th century. In Aachen's "best front room", you'll find a harmonious ensemble of Rococo, early Classicism, Empire style and Biedermeier period, Aachen Liège furniture of the 18th century, faiences, precious glass and porcelain. The Couven Museum, named after the famous architect Johann Joseph Couven, is located in a house built in 1787 which also belonged to the old apothecary family Monheim.
