With its collection and temporary exhibitions, the Kunsthaus NRW Kornelimünster offers an insight into the past, present and future of the in North Rhine-Westphalian art scene. Since 1948 the land NRW has promoted young artists through buying their artworks, among others of Karl Otto Götz, Ernst Wilhelm Nay, Günther Uecker, Gerhard Richter, Sigmar Polke, Katharina Sieverding, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Andreas Gursky, Gregor Schneider, Gerd and Uwe Tobias or Erika Hock. The Kunsthaus is accommodated in the magnificent seat of the former imperial Abbey Kornelimünster. The entrance is free. 

Opening hours: Thu - Sat 12 to 5 p.m. + Sun 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. (unless otherwise communicated on the website www.kunsthaus.nrw)

Note: Outside opening hours, guided tours can be arranged with a surcharge of €15. Topics such as the Kunsthaus NRW and its collection, history of the monastery or formats for families by arrangement.
