Aachen accommodation tax  
Starting January 1, 2026, the City of Aachen will introduce a accommodation tax. In principle, all adults who stay in hotels, guesthouses, holiday apartments, or similar accommodations are subject to this tax.
The accommodation tax amounts to € 2.50 per person and per night. It is not included in the accommodation price and is collected by the accommodation provider on behalf of the city.
