A stream under the surface of the earth - the Johannisbach in Aachen.

Like the Johannisbach, many of the Aachen streams were connected to the sewage system between 1875 and 1908 and placed under the earth's surface for hygienic reasons. In June 1999, the Johannisbach was one of the first freely laid out streams and has not only delighted young and old since then, but also the four -legged friends in the city. It flows from Lindenplatz to Pontstrasse.
