Obelisk Lousberg
An obelisk in Aachen? You can find it high on the Lousberg.
A heavenly view opens up from the Lousberg summit plateau via Aachen and its surroundings. From Soerser valley to the Tivoli to the Aachen forest and the beginning of the Eifel you can let your view wander into the distance. This is exactly what the Geographer Jean Joseph Tranchot did in 1807 and grasped the entire region on a map from here. For this purpose and for further astronomical observations, the large obelisk from a blue was set up here.

The obelisk is on the Lousberg. This is about 30 minutes away from the old town of Aachen. There is no bus line directly to the Lousberg.
