On July 9, 2025, Peter Ludwig would have celebrated his 100th birthday-occasion for all Ludwig Museums worldwide, the visionary collector and art promoter. This anniversary is of particular importance for Aachen: not only is the seat of the Ludwig Foundation in the family's former house. Two museums of the city-the Ludwig Forum for International Art and the Suermondt Ludwig Museum-also owe the connection between the couple Peter and Irene Ludwig with his hometown extraordinary donations.
