Photo exhibition by Dieter Kaspari

Moorlands are rare and ecologically valuable habitats and their preservation is an important aspect of climate protection.
At the gates of Aachen there is a unique raised moor in the border area with the “Hohen Venn”. Dieter Kaspari's photographs show the High Fens in all its beauty, at any time of day and year, and demonstrate not only the need for protection of this special landscape, its great local recreational character as a hiking region, but also the aesthetic aspects. “A spring springs under every step” – with this quote from the German romantic Annette von Droste-Hülshof hof , the Aachen photographer and musician Dieter Kaspari expresses his various talents and passions: As a poet and songwriter, he is fond of poetic language, the photographer captures his passion for the local raised moor and the musician hears the water rushing, gurgling and splashing. Kaspari hiked many kilometers through the Fens to capture the magic of the unique natural landscape with his camera at different times of the year and day.
