getting there

Your way to Aachen

Aachen is the westernmost city in Germany and lies on the border with the Netherlands and Belgium . In the south, Aachen borders the Eifel and the High Fens , which are ideal for a trip into nature. If you're in Aachen for a while, a detour to the surrounding area is definitely worth it!

The nearest airports are Cologne Bonn Airport (85 km), Düsseldorf Airport (99 km) and Maastricht Aachen Airport (27 km) in the Netherlands and Liège Airport (60 km) in Belgium.

Notice

You should keep this in mind

There are currently some construction sites in Aachen. You can find an overview on the city of Aachen website .

Please pay particular attention to the closure of the A544 . This is completely closed due to a new bridge being built. Please avoid the closure as far as possible and use other motorway junctions to get to the city center. Coming from Cologne or the Netherlands on the A4, we recommend the Aachen-Zentrum exit. Coming from Düsseldorf or Belgium on the A44, we recommend the Aachen-Brand exit. Please be sure to use the parking guidance system (signs with electronic parking display) and pay attention to the detour signs on site.
