Plan a visit

The Cathedral Treasury is showing a new special exhibition.

Swapping clothes, buying secondhand, browsing flea markets: Reusing textiles is all the rage. But what is considered a sustainable lifestyle today was a common practice for centuries. This is demonstrated by the new special exhibition "Upcycling – Textile Sustainability in Aachen Cathedral." It is also the farewell exhibition of long-time textile conservator Monica Paredis-Vroon, who has been in charge of the Cathedral Treasury's approximately 2,300 historic textiles for 35 years.
