As part of the photography festival of the Aachen city region

Stefan Drashan (*1979) is a master of visual symbiosis between man and art. In his fascinating photographs, he combines people with masterpieces from European museums whose clothing, gestures or hairstyle harmonize in astonishingly. With his "People Matching Artworks" series, which has become internationally known in the social networks, he discovers suitable picture pairs, lets the past and the present merge with each other and thus completely redefines the vision and seen. Irony always plays an important role in his photographs. Drashan emphasizes that the pure coincidence is his muse, which gives him in a fleeting moment. His flair for the crucial moment-the moment Décisif , an expression that Henri Cartier-Bresson shaped, makes his photographs as unique as the period of time, which he has on average for his recording: 11 seconds.
