The Centre Charlemagne : Where Aachen's city history comes to life.

In the heart of Charlemagne's former Palatinate district, the Centre Charlemagne - New City Museum Aachen brings to life striking stations in the city's history and delights young and old alike. Families with children are in the right place here, because when you immerse yourself in the Carolingian period you can try out a lot of things together in the history laboratory: How heavy was chain mail? What was the ink for the magnificent manuscripts made from? The starting point of the "Route Charlemagne" is definitely worth a visit!
