Katsch hof
The hof between the Aachen Cathedral and the town hall appears sublime.
The hof was the inner hof of Charlemagne's palace and the connecting point between the Königshalle (today Aachen City Hall) and Marienkirche (today Aachen Cathedral). During the Christmas season, part of the Aachen Christmas markt takes place on the square. From the stairs at the town hall you have a great view of the hof and a beautiful view of Aachen Cathedral.
