Nelson Mandela Park
The Nelson Mandela Park in Aachen is best known for its old trees.
The former public park and private garden of the von Halfern family offers a nice opportunity to take a leisurely walk and lie on the meadow. It owes its former name “old clinic park” to the use of the park by the old university clinic on Goethestrasse. It is accessible from several streets, but the easiest to find is the entrance on Goethestrasse.

The park is located outside Aachen's old town. The walk from Aachen Cathedral to Nelson Mandela Park takes around 25 minutes. There are regular buses from the old town to the park.
