When traveling by coach, pay attention to the low emission zone - only low-emission vehicles with a green sticker or an exemption are allowed to drive into the low emission zone. You can find an overview of the environmental zone here . The badge costs between 5 and 15 euros and you can get it in person at various locations in the city and city region of Aachen or online. You can find the address of the respective issuing point and further information on the city of Aachen . If you don't have a green sticker, we recommend using the Park & Ride parking spaces. Coach parking spaces
Outside of events, the bus parking lot at Bendplatz available. The cost is €15/24 hours.
Please note that Bendplatz is not available as a parking space during frost and snowfall due to a lack of winter service. Information on this is available from Eurogress Aachen .
The exception is the time of the Aachen Christmas markt .
There is also another official and free coach parking space on “Karmeliterstraße” , which is usually available 24 hours a day. Please note that only a maximum of two buses can park here at the same time.
on “Sandkaulstrasse” and “Theaterplatz” where parking is permitted during the day with a parking disc for a maximum of 2 hours (unlimited from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.).
during the Aachen Christmas markt
During the Aachen Christmas markt (November 22nd - December 23rd, 2024), Bendplatz offers free parking . Coming from the motorways, simply follow the special signs to the “Bendplatz” bus parking lot (Süsterfeldstraße). Guests can reach the Christmas markt on foot or by shuttle bus driver meeting has been set up for all bus drivers .
The walk from the Bendplatz bus parking lot to the Christmas markt is approx. 1.2 km and is very well signposted. a city map with directions to the Aachen Christmas markt free of charge on site.
A double-decker bus runs the route every 15 minutes between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. From Driescher Gässchen it is only a few minutes walk to the Christmas markt . One way costs €2 per person (€3 there and back). The provider is CityTour .
