Hermann Heusch Square

Herrmann-Heusch-Platz is named after a post-war mayor of Aachen.
There is a lot to discover at Hermann-Heusch-Platz. For example, the small fountain system for the Paubach, which was created by Benno Werth. There is also the so-called bluestone sculpture “Through the Wall” (1985) by Heinz Tobolla, which is intended to remind us of the division of Germany that was still real at the time. On the way into the residential complex, a real Duemjroef, a rascal from Aachen by Hubert Löneke, sits on the right. The European spiral on the wall was made by Manfred Bredohl, and to the right of it the bust was made by Hermann Heusch. Krista Löneke-Kemmerling created the stilt children in 1983.
