The 'Big House of Aachen'

In 1495, Heinrich Dollart built today's international newspaper museum on the foundations of four town houses at Pontstrasse 13. In the 17th century, the city of Aachen acquired the house, which over time was used for many different purposes, including as a prison under Napoleon.
