Be aware of the low emission zone when traveling by car - only low-emission vehicles with a green sticker or exemption permit are allowed to enter the low emission zone. You can find an overview of the low emission zone here. The sticker costs between 5 and 15 euros and can be obtained in person at various locations in the city and city region of Aachen or online. The address of the respective issuing office and further information can be found on the website of the city of Aachen. Park & Ride
There are a total of 4 Park + Ride parking spaces outside the environmental zone. You can park there and take the bus into the city center. The 5th parking lot, the Hangeweiher parking lot, is located within the low emission zone, for which you need a green sticker or an exemption permit.
Der Standort Hangeweiher (Herrmann-Löns-Allee) ist während der Freibadsaison (30.04. bis 13.09.2026) nicht als Park + Ride nutzbar. Die Parkzeit beschränkt sich werktags auf 7 bis 21 Uhr, während dieser Besuchende max. 4 Stunden mit Parkscheibe parken dürfen.
Notes & costs
With the Park + Ride ticket, up to five people can park for €5 and take the bus directly to the city center and back.
If you park at the locations Jülicher Straße/Berliner Ring, Waldfriedhof (Monschauer Straße), Westfriedhof (Vaalser Straße) or Hangeweiher (Hermann-Löns-Allee) , you will receive the Park + Ride ticket on the bus. When using the Tivoli parking garage, your parking ticket acts as a bus ticket, which you must show on the bus. Please also note the separate Park + Ride entrance!
