Public guided tour of the cathedral treasury
It is considered the most important ecclesiastical treasury north of the Alps. Its collection includes numerous sacred gold and silversmith works such as chalices, reliquaries and altar retables.
Marvel at around 600m² of late antique objects and those from the Carolingian, Ottonian, Hohenstaufen and Gothic periods. They bear witness to the church's long tradition and history as the burial place of Charlemagne and as a coronation and pilgrimage church.
