The Cathedral Treasury presents a new special exhibition .

Swapping clothes, buying second-hand, rummaging through flea markets: reusing textiles is very much in vogue. But what is considered a sustainable lifestyle today has been common practice for centuries. This is demonstrated by the new special exhibition "Upcycling – Textile Sustainability in Aachen Cathedral." It is also the farewell exhibition of long-time textile conservator Monica Paredis-Vroon, who has been caring for the approximately 2,300 historical textiles in the cathedral treasury for 35 years.
