WeRhinelanders
Permanent exhibition at the Kommern Open-Air Museum
On an exhibition area of 1,400 square meters, the exhibition invites visitors to take a tour through the fictitious small town of "Rhenania". This tour begins with the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine by the French revolutionary troops in 1794 and ends in the "economic miracle" around 1955. The focus is on the effects of political and economic developments on the living conditions of the urban population.
