The globally unique Chronoskope® devices in Aachen city center offer visitors the opportunity to travel back in time through the history of the imperial city. These are metal steles approximately 2.50 m high, which allow young and old alike to take a look into the past through three eyepieces at different heights. At the touch of a button, 2-minute animations with interesting information are played free of charge and in four different languages (DE, EN, FR, NL). The Chronoskope® are located at the following locations: Markt, Hühnermarkt, Hof, Münsterplatz, Katschhof, and Kräutergarten.
