Centre Charlemagne Aachen: History in the Heart of the City

At the Centre Charlemagne, you’ll experience Aachen in a way that guides you step by step through its past. The museum is located on Katschhof, where Charlemagne’s palace complex once stood, and combines archaeological findings with modern storytelling techniques. Multimedia stations take you on a journey through the ages, from early settlements and the Roman city to the Baroque spa tradition and today’s European identity.
