Elisengarten
Elisengarten: a small park oasis in the shadow of the Elisenbrunnen
Elisengarten is located directly behind the Elisenbrunnen and was designed in the mid-19th century by the Prussian landscape architect Peter Joseph Lenné. The park serves as a tranquil transition between the bustling cityscape and a green oasis of calm. When the weather is nice, the park fills with people seeking a break from their daily routines, reading a book, or enjoying a picnic. The wide lawn and paths create an open atmosphere where history and modern city life meet. Thanks to its location in the heart of Aachen, the Elisengarten is perfect for both quick breaks and moments when you simply want to watch the hustle and bustle of the Old Town.
