The Herz Jesu Kirche is affectionately known among locals as the Öcher Sacre Coeur.

The neo-Romanesque parish church was built between 1908 and 1910 according to plans by architect Josef Kleesattel and is located at the end of Viktoriaallee. The mosaic above the altar inside the church is the second largest mosaic in the diocese of Aachen after the one in Aachen Cathedral.
