Kennedy Park
Kennedy Park, Aachen – A Vast Green Space with Traces of the Past
Nestled among densely built-up streets, Kennedy Park opens up as a spacious green space that ranks among the most important recreational areas in the Ostviertel. In the 1960s, a sprawling park was created on the former military grounds and named in honor of John F. Kennedy. Eight columns of the so-called Yellow Barracks now mark the entrance and serve as a reminder of the site’s former use. Along the paths, you’ll encounter a peaceful, everyday atmosphere where families, walkers, and neighbors mingle. Play and exercise areas bring the park to life, while the open lawns offer space for quiet moments.
