Rahe Castle, located in the Laurensberg district of Aachen, traces its roots back to the 13th century. Originally mentioned as a moated castle, it was transformed into an elegant country estate in the 18th century. Its location by the water still lends the building a tranquil atmosphere today. As you walk through the castle park, you can sense something of the history of the old estate, which once belonged to families such as the von Roide and van der Linden.
