Black and yellow - playing at Aachen's old Tivoli.

Where fans once cheered, a modern playground now invites visitors to explore. In 2018, a playground was built on the site of the former Alter Tivoli that pays homage to the venue’s black-and-yellow tradition while also creating a peaceful retreat for families. Nestled among new residential buildings, it fosters an atmosphere that tangibly bridges the past and the present. Children up to about ten years old will find a variety of opportunities here to climb and explore. For the youngest children, the protected setting offers an environment where there is room for both activity and short breaks. The playground quietly tells the story of the site and demonstrates how a former stadium area can be transformed into a lively gathering place.
