Within its compact space, it offers a peaceful atmosphere that provides a brief respite from everyday life. Since its redesign in 2016, it has featured new paths, seating areas, and a community garden, giving the park an open yet familiar feel. In 2022, the city of Aachen was honored with the Federal Urban Greenery Award for this site, as the park exemplifies how quality of life and climate adaptation can go hand in hand. Amid trees, play areas, and small retreats, a space has emerged that reflects the neighborhood’s diversity and gently connects its residents.
