Von-Halfern Park is one of the green retreats in the southern part of Aachen. Designed in the style of an English garden, the park now features expansive meadows, towering trees, and winding paths that lead you into a tranquil landscape. Some of the ancient giant trees date back to the park’s early history and lend the grounds a special sense of depth. In the past, there were even strawberry fields here, and later, bowling on pine cones and archery. Today, the park feels like a quiet transition between the city and the forest. Its open layout invites you to let your gaze wander and take in the gentle melancholy of the place, which echoes through its old paths and wide-open spaces.
