Event
On boardwalks and bog trails in Brackvenn
Guided tour with certified nature guide Gisela Lenze
Amid wooden walkways, bog pools, and vast moorland, a tranquil world unfolds in the Brackvenn. Narrow walkways lead right through the raised bog, past sphagnum moss, moor grass, and glacial pools that lie scattered across the landscape like dark mirrors. The Brackvenn is part of the German-Belgian Hohes Venn Eifel Nature Park and ranks among Europe’s most ecologically valuable moorland landscapes. The guided tour vividly explains how moors form, why they are so important for the climate and water balance, and why protecting this landscape requires special care. A relaxing tour for anyone who wants to not only see nature but also understand it.
