Accessible Outings – An Inclusive Walk
How can inclusion be made visible and tangible? As part of European Mobility Week, you’ll take a walk from the Elisenbrunnen fountain around the market square and the cathedral.
Caline Strack, chair of the Commission on Accessible Construction, and Simone Krauß, the City of Aachen’s Commissioner for People with Disabilities, invite you to join them on a short walk to showcase the accessible design measures that have been implemented in the city so that people using wheelchairs, walkers, white canes, or strollers can use these paths. They will also provide information on the locations of accessible public restrooms and accessible parking spaces.
People with and without disabilities are welcome to join the walk, learn about the accessible design measures that have been implemented, and help identify areas that could still be improved.
Please register by email at: veranstaltungen-mobilitaet@mail.aachen.de
