A funny and heartwarming one-man show with live music
Daniel, the son of staunch 1968-era parents, and Aylin, who grew up in a large Turkish family, want to get married. But instead of true love, there’s total chaos. Suddenly, countless family members start meddling in the planning of the dream wedding—with well-meaning advice that Daniel, in particular, didn’t ask for. So he finds himself surrounded by aunts reading coffee grounds, parents talking unabashedly about their sex lives, and tons of tulle. After all, the 1,000-guest wedding in an industrial hall in Leverkusen is supposed to be romantic and unforgettable. When the ceremony finally has to be postponed, everything is at stake: Can true love survive this German-Turkish madness?
