The musical tells Shakespeare's romantic and tragic story in a unique combination of historical costumes and language with powerful rock and pop songs.
It is summer in 16th-century Verona. At a masked ball, young Romeo and young Juliet meet and fall in love. But their families, the Montagues and the Capulets, are enemies. After their secret wedding, the conflict escalates and Romeo is banished. In order to flee with her lover, Juliet fakes her death. But then everything turns out differently than expected.
