Embark on a journey through more than 1,200 years of urban development—from Aachen Cathedral, one of the best-preserved structures from the Carolingian era, to buildings in the Prussian Classicist style such as the theater and the Elisenbrunnen, all the way to the Couven Museum or the Baroque St. Anne’s Church, whose extension was designed by Johann Joseph Couven.
