Exploring Aachen on little feet
An entertaining tour for children ages 5 to 11.
Have you ever wondered why the chicken thief got scared, or if Charlemagne really couldn’t write? Or if Aachen looked like the world of Asterix and Obelix back in Roman times? All these exciting questions—and many more—will be answered during our kid-friendly tour of Aachen’s Old Town. And don’t worry, it’s guaranteed not to be boring! Quite the opposite: This tour is full of exciting stories that will make your eyes light up and fill you with knowledge!
On our tour, which is especially suited for curious kids ages 5 to 11, you can experience the Old Town up close and personal. Yes, you heard right: touching and participating are definitely encouraged! You can feel the Devil’s thumb in the Cathedral Gate, move the figures at the Puppet Fountain, and of course ask questions—like why Aachen’s water smells so strange or what the story is behind the little fish pond. The story of the spooky Bahkauv with its glowing eyes is also fascinating.
So, what are you waiting for? Get ready for an unforgettable journey through Aachen and its history!
