Please note that from 01.01.2026 an accommodation accommodation tax will be due in the city of Aachen. In principle, all persons of legal age who stay overnight in hotels, guesthouses, vacation apartments or similar establishments for a fee are liable to pay the tax.

The accommodation tax is € 2.50 per person per night. The tax is not included in the accommodation price and is levied by the accommodation provider on behalf of the city.

The booking and payment of a package must be made at least 28 days before arrival. Short-term bookings are possible on request. Please note that your booking only becomes binding after checking availability during our service hours (Mon - Fri 9:00 to 17:00, Sat 10:00 to 14:00).
