The Miljoenenlijn: A Nostalgic Train Ride Through the Hills of South Limburg

The Miljoenenlijn takes you through a landscape that seems tailor-made for a journey back in time. Between Simpelveld, Kerkrade, and Schin op Geul, a train rolls along, its historic character evoking memories of the early days of rail travel. Old steam locomotives and nostalgic railcars open a window to the past, letting you experience what travel once sounded and smelled like. During the ride, hills, orchards, and small villages pass by. The view from the window unfolds like a sequence of tranquil images that come together to create a special moment. For those who want to experience the region, this journey offers a way to immerse yourself in both history and nature.
