Former town hall - Kornelimünster
Former Town Hall of Kornelimünster: a historic building in the old town center
The former town hall of Kornelimünster dates back to 1830, and with its light-colored façade, it stands as a serene anchor in the historic townscape. Today it houses a savings bank branch, yet the building’s history remains palpable. On the exterior wall, you’ll find a flood mark commemorating the year 1906, when the Inde River burst its banks and severely damaged the town. Standing here, it’s easy to appreciate just how closely Kornelimünster has always been connected to its river. Amid the narrow streets, the building blends into the town’s organic layout and quietly tells the story of public life in times past.
