Aachen Regional Court: A Historic Courthouse Blending Tradition and Modernity
The Aachen Regional Court building stands on historic ground and combines historical elements with a serene, dignified atmosphere. The portal grilles, stairwells, and marble-clad walls speak to the city’s long tradition of jurisprudence. The entrance hall, with its white bronze windows, conveys a solemn stillness that defines the character of the place. Later, the building was expanded with a modern addition consisting of a central hall and two office wings. Even though the architecture has grown over time, the feeling remains that one is standing in a place where history and the present quietly meet.
