The Green Metropolis connects the Aachen-Düren-Heinsberg region with its neighbors in Belgium and the Netherlands, creating a vast area to explore that blends nature and history. The project arose from the idea of transforming a former industrial region into a space for local recreation and raising awareness of the shared landscape across borders.
