Lousberg
Lousberg, Aachen: A hill full of stories and serene views
The Lousberg rises on the northern edge of Aachen’s city center and is one of those places where nature and history are closely intertwined. Since the early 19th century, the hill has been landscaped into a park according to plans by Maximilian Friedrich Weyhe, and it remains a peaceful retreat from city life to this day. As you follow the path upward, views over rooftops and alleyways open up time and again. Amid the old trees, you’ll find traces of times past that reveal just how deeply this place has been shaped by the people of Aachen. The Lousberg is a quiet slice of city history that welcomes you with its expansive atmosphere.
