75 years of the Charlemagne Prize
Exhibition in the historic Grashaus
In the historic Grashaus, in the heart of Aachen's old town, the International Charlemagne Prize Documentation Center invites visitors to rediscover the ideas, personalities and visions of Europe. The permanent multimedia exhibition presents the history of the International Charlemagne Prize - the most important European prize for services to unity, peace and democracy - in four languages.
On around 65 square meters, interactive stations, historical insights and current perspectives connect the past with present-day Europe. Visitors encounter the Charlemagne Prize winners, their messages and their impact - inspiring, accessible and lively. It is a place that invites dialog, makes European identity tangible and makes Aachen's special role in European memory visible. Welcome to the center of living European ideas.
