Permanent loans from the King Baudouin Foundation
The Belgian King Baudouin Foundation is lending twelve significant works from the collection of the couple Hanns von der Ohe and Renate Luck to the Suermondt-Ludwig Museum on permanent loan. The 19th-century paintings introduce key figures of Dutch and Belgian landscape and genre painting to the collection and expand the presentation of the Düsseldorf School. They also shed light on the close cultural ties between Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The works are on view on the second floor of the museum.
