100 Years of CHIO Aachen
Photo exhibition “Around the CHIO Aachen” featuring spectacular, amusing, and curious photographs from Aachen’s equestrian tournaments over the past 100 years.
Created in collaboration with the Museum of the Aachen-Laurensberger Racing Club, this exhibition looks back on an unparalleled success story. Unique photographic documents showcase international equestrian sport as it is experienced at the world’s largest equestrian event—top-class, emotional, and a pure aesthetic experience of the interaction between human and animal, complete with legendary champions. And as historical documents, they also highlight the historical context of the tournaments, reflecting the close intertwining of politics and sport.
