City puppet stage "Öcher Schängche"
Experience the Aachen dialect on the Öcher Schängche city puppet stage.
First performed in front of an audience in 1921 and based in the Barockfabrik since 1982. The Stadtpuppentheater is one of the most important places where the Aachen native language "Oecher Platt" is cultivated. Whether in children's plays with only a little Öcher Platt, adult plays with a higher proportion or performances in which only High German is spoken, the flair and charm of the iconic stage ensure that the performances are met with great enthusiasm by the audience.
